The FASE credential recognizes dedicated ASE members with an extraordinary commitment to the field of cardiovascular ultrasound. When you achieve FASE, you are on your way to becoming a leader in your field.

Cardiovascular ultrasound practitioners of all specialty types who demonstrate proficiency and dedication to the field of cardiovascular ultrasound may apply for FASE. This designation is achieved through a peer-review process.

Application Deadlines

FASE application deadlines are:

  • February 1st
  • April 1st
  • June 1st
  • August 1st
  • October 1st
  • December 1st

You will receive an update regarding your application within  two weeks of the application deadline.

Please note that the FASE application fee is due when submitting your application. If your application is not approved, it will be considered pending, and you will receive specific reasons for the committee’s decision. Pending applicants have the opportunity to address these issues during the current cycle or reapply once without incurring an additional fee. However, a third or subsequent application will require an additional $350 FASE application fee.

Honorary FASE

The Honorary Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography award, established in 2008, recognizes colleagues living outside the U.S. who have made significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular ultrasound. To date, 26 recipients have been acknowledged, serving as ambassadors for our field and for ASE worldwide. Their scientific advancements and camaraderie have enriched us all.
